Four Years Mark: The Only 2018 Anime That I Watched

Fireworks
Happy anniversary to me! This blog is now four years old. Yes relatively, I can be called a veteran now in terms of how long I’ve been sticking around. However, in terms of actual posts, meh… Inconsistent content is kinda my brand now lol but I’ve been active for 6 months now so I hope I can continue to post regularly for at least another 6 months.

As I did in the past years, I will celebrate my anniversary by writing about shows that came out this year that I actually watched. For some reason that I’m unsure of, I don’t watch newer anime that much and I especially don’t watch seasonal anime. So can I fit ALL 2018 shows that I watched this year into one post? Yes, yes I can cause it’s only like 10 shows… Let’s begin.

Impressions: Irozuku Sekai no Ashita Kara Episode 12

Hitomi and Yuito.png

This episode starts by continuing the relationship between Hitomi and Yuito as well as Hitomi’s eventual departure.

Out of all Hitomi’s desperation and depression, she at least has Yuito as her source of happiness. However, that source of happiness is going to disappear very soon so she’s frustrated by that fact. She thinks it’s better to not have met Yuito so she won’t have any of these confusing feelings. However, Yuito manages to convince her otherwise and thus indirectly making her take a step forward in facing the harsh truth of having to leave him and her friends. That step forward is well, to have the most fun with everyone, particularly with Yuito while she can. She’s basically facing her problem directly again instead of running away. She realizes that it’s no use wandering in the dark all the time. Her friends are always helping her so that’s the least she can do.

Hitomi Gloomy.png

Like I said in the last episode, Hitomi has to deal with Asagi.

Hitomi in this episode is surprisingly proactive in solving the problem. She’s no longer waiting to react to others’ actions, instead, acts first this time. She’s the one who chases after Asagi and tries to work things out between them. Hitomi has changed quite significantly to the point she is the one taking initiative to solve problems, not running away from it. She’s the one making the effort to preserve their friendship. Asagi on the other hand is the one running away this time, avoiding to face the conflict head on. She keeps on running away until Hitomi finally catches her, letting Hitomi do all the work. Her work is to simply accept Hitomi’s approach. She is very happy though that Hitomi takes the responsibility to talk with her. Being extremely emotional, she couldn’t have done it herself even though she knows it’s the most rational thing to do.  To feel a little bit better, she adverts the blame from Hitomi to Shou in a joking manner. But there is some truth to it.

Kohaku.png

We’re back with another episode of the only anime I watch this season.

Yayy Kohaku finally enters the group. We already know from the stories of her damaging and destroying properties of the school that she is very lively and energetic. And well, she sure is. All the other students seem to be enjoying her magic. So much so, they immediately ask her to do her tricks after her return from studying overseas. Despite being hesitant, she quickly gives in to their request.

First Impressions: Irozuku Sekai no Ashita Kara Episode 1 – 3

Irozuku 3

I picked this show mainly because it’s from PA Works. PA Works rarely disappoints me and almost always does things right. The genre of anime they usually produce is also my taste so that’s a major plus for me. So this season, this is the only anime… that I watch… Yeah, I actually don’t watch anime that much. Let’s dive in.

The basic premise of the story is about a girl named Tsukishiro Hitomi who by some unknown reason loses the ability to see colours. She sees the world in only black and white. She is soon transported to the past by her grandmother’s magic to the era when her grandmother was still in highschool. Not knowing the reason or purpose of being transported, she struggles to find a way to get back to the present while trying to adapt to the new world she’s currently living in.
