Baby Steps: A Realistic Sports Anime

Baby Steps 1

I recently finished watching a tennis sports anime called ‘Baby Steps’. I’ve watched a few sports anime every now and then but I have to say this is the most realistic sports anime I’ve ever seen. It has the beginners approach because the main Character, Maruo Eichirou only starts playing tennis without any knowledge of tennis at all. So you dive into the anime without much knowledge of the sport and learn about it the same pace as Maruo.

Another thing that makes the anime realistic is the significance of training and practice. In this anime… THE CHARACTERS ACTUALLY PRACTICE!!! I mean of course other sports anime show the characters practice too but it is not as detailed and as important as Baby Steps. In this anime, they actually show us why certain way of practice is necessary for development and how long the practices should be done. Practices and training in this anime majorly affect the results of the matches that the main character plays.

Conclusion of Anime and Its Genres

eromanga

This is the wrap up of my genre posts. From my previous posts, it’s very obvious that I like a light-hearted genre more than a dark and depressing genre. Especially now that I’m in my final semester of college where there are many things to do but I have no idea how to do them. At all. But I’m expected to do great at them… God just let this end quick!

As you can see from my previous posts, I generalize the genre to make it easier for me to differentiate. I usually see romance as something very related to drama so I lump those two together. Granted there are romantic comedy so it’s categorized as comedy.

The Dark Horror Genre in Anime

Horror anime

I have a confession… I have never watched a single horror genre anime in my life. Not even the popular anime, Another. Okay another confession… I actually don’t know what classifies an anime as a horror. If something like Future Diary or Death Note is considered a ‘horror anime’ than I’ve watched quite a few of anime like that. If horror anime should be similar to usual horror movies, than I don’t think I’ve watched any. Is there any real horror anime to begin with?

Shounen Anime

Shounen anime 1.jpg

It’s safe to say that shounen anime is the most popular genre of anime. From the big three of Naruto, One Piece and Bleach, shounen anime somehow wins the audience attention including myself.

I really don’t get how the shounen anime is categorized. It’s basically anime targeted towards young boys right? Is that the only category that they narrow? I mean, sure whatever young boys like, right? Of course the most popular is action series. But young boys also like comedy and cute girls. Are those anime considered shounen? How come Death Note is considered shounen? It barely has any action scenes!!!

Slice of Life, Moe and Comedy in Anime

K on.jpeg

Is there any ‘slice of life’ drama out there other than anime? Well usually it is associated with comedy.

Slice of life, by definition should explore the representation of our lives. It should represent our daily lives in a realistic manner. It is usually about people’s ordinary life routine which more often than not, is mundane.

However, anime seems to be doing quite the opposite. True, they are still about ordinary daily lives but somehow they managed to make it more interesting than it should be. Slice of life is usually combined with comedy and Moe.

The Romance Genre in Anime

maxresdefault

Hi everyone, I’m back again!!!

Romantic genre in anime is a hit and miss for anime watchers. Some like it because of their innocence and some don’t because of their shallowness. Which group do I fall into? I fall into the former. My blog is filled with Romance anime. I think I’ve watched more romance anime than I watched other genre. I’m basically a sucker for romance anime.

SNAFU Opening Song Analysis

My Teen Romantic Comedy Snafu Too Opening Lyrics.mp4_20171229_114030.569

Hey everyone! So today I’m going to examine the meaning behind the lyrics of the opening song of an anime called ‘My Youth Romantic Comedy is Wrong as I Expected’. I will analyze the reasoning behind the lyrics and go deeper into it. I really love this series and I recommend all of you to watch it. Most of the messages from the anime are very implicit so you have to observe carefully to really understand the story. Now, don’t expect too much from this analysis though because I’m not really good at this. Just thought I’d try. If you want to watch the opening of this anime, you can watch it here.

Takanashi X Inami is The Cutest Anime Couple Ever!

takanashi-and-inami

Okay not really. My favourite couple is probably Okabe and Kurisu from Steins;Gate. But we’re not here to talk about them, we’re here to talk about a couple in an anime I just finished recently. Working! (it’s an anime title).

*Spoilers ahead so proceed with caution*

Working! Has two main ships. One is Satou and Todoroki and another one is Takanashi and Inami. Obviously, my favourite couple in this series is the latter. The main reason is because Inami blushes ALL the time and that makes the mundane and cliché scenes cute and adorable.

Working! (Wagnaria!) Review

working_employees

Synopsis

Takanashi Souta is persuaded by the cute and small Taneshima Popura to work part time in a family restaurant called Wagnaria. Due to his fondness over small and cute things, Takanashi accepted the offer. Little does he know that the restaurant are full of weird and eccentric people. But, he himself is weird too…

Review

I started watching this anime only for stress relieve. I didn’t expect it to be that good. Judging by the cover alone I thought it was just another comedy anime. It turns out that it is more than that. The comedy, for one really hits my taste and the plot too is really compelling especially when they are given a chance to make multiple seasons.

Two Years Mark: The Only 2016 Anime That I watched

anime-new-year

Two years have passed very fast. The upside is that I managed to hold on to this blog for this long which is to me, great. The downside is that I haven’t been posting much. However, I’m a very stubborn guy. Even though this blog is pretty much on a shutdown phase, I still don’t want to stop blogging. That’s why I keep on coming to this blog even after a long sudden hiatus. I’ll say this over and over again, I’m not stopping this blogging thing anytime soon.

Because I started this blog at the end of the year, I decided to celebrate its birthday by writing about every anime that I watched that came out in that particular year. Last time, I managed to write on time. This time, it got a bit delayed. But hey, it’s better late than never right? So these are ALL the anime that came out in 2016 that I actually watched. They’re more than last year…
