The live performance is one of the most important moments in all music anime. If it’s good, it makes the characters feel more real and alive. If the anime skips the performance, it makes us wonder why it is a music anime in the first place.
Many music anime such as Stop This Sound, which I recently watched, have so much dialogue during the performance. As they play their instruments, the characters watching them play would make remarks like, “It’s very good. I feel like all the seasons have changed” or “oh my God they all play the impossible notes in sync even though it’s… well, impossible!!!” The remarks, to me, break the flow of the performance. I want to listen to the performance and let me catch it first hand how awesome or awful they play and how good they’ve become. But I can’t because other characters keep interruptin me and describe how they play to me.
Last episode: Oh my God I can see colours again! My life is going to be amazing from now on!!!
This episode: Oh nope nevermind, it’s gone.
This episode starts with a scam. So much hope for resolved conflict last episode…
This episode seemed to have resolved conflicts more than creating drama. So far, everything is either resolved or resolving.
Firstly, Asagi and Shou’s relationship is still considerably stagnant. Asagi does try her best to make a move, very small move but that’s nowhere near enough to reach Shou because of how blinded he is by his gradual affection towards Hitomi. It just leaves him in a state of confusion. These two have to figure something up fast!
I recently watched one of the funniest anime I’ve seen which is Asobi Asobase. If you follow the seasonal anime, I don’t think you would miss this freaking good comedy anime in the summer season 2018. I love this series, laughing pretty much the whole time watching it. The OP is very misleading making the three main characters look super innocent and treat each other like best friend forever. Oh man let me tell you, it’s the complete opposite.
But while I like the series as a whole, I think Hanako is the best the series has to offer, from her character to her voice actress (I love her voice) and most importantly, her facial expressions. Especially her facial expressions, seriously. And so because I love her so much, I’m here to present you Hanako’s various expressions.
This episode is about everyone beginning to open up with each other.
Hitomi hated magic before coming to the past but now she embraces it, hoping that she’ll be able to see colours again. She begins learning new magic and practicing to make making the star-sands. Incidentally, she also begins to open up more with Yuito, also hoping that she’ll be able to see colours again, so much so that she even gives him her first ever successful star-sand she manages to make. It goes without saying that she won’t take the first step without her grandmother’s pushy attitude though. But when is she going to ask her grandmother how to go back to the future? Or will she?
I just watched Red Data Girl and I have to admit, I am super confused. I had high hopes for this anime. It had potential but unfortunately, it is really bad at worldbuilding. I think that’s the main flaw of the series.
First off we have our main character, Suzuhara Izumiko who for some reason can’t interact with any electrical devices because if she does, all the electrical devices within the diameter of about one class will malfunction. She also has many other ‘spiritual’ abilities such as being able to detect shikigami disguised as a human effortlessly. She is later revealed to be half Goddess. Because of this, two mountain monks by the name of Sagara Yukimasa and his son Sagara Miyuki are tasked to guard her from any harm especially from the shikigami. The story starts for real after Izumiko and Miyuki are also forced to enroll in a school full of students that are spiritually talented for reasons that I honestly forgot or just don’t understand from the beginning.
We’re back with another episode of the only anime I watch this season.
Yayy Kohaku finally enters the group. We already know from the stories of her damaging and destroying properties of the school that she is very lively and energetic. And well, she sure is. All the other students seem to be enjoying her magic. So much so, they immediately ask her to do her tricks after her return from studying overseas. Despite being hesitant, she quickly gives in to their request.
