Real Neat Award, Tag Post!!!

Anime Girl Excited

I got tagged by Will Sirius a several days ago. It’s been quite a while since I last did chain posts like this. A few years ago, Liebster Awards kept on circulating around the anime blogging community for a long time. Now I guess it’s the Real Neat Award!

Thank you so much Will Sirius for nominating me. Go check out their blog too!

I’ll be answering some really interesting questions. Let’s get started.

Real Neat Award

Here are the requirements:

  • Display the logo.
  • Thank the blogger that nominated you and share a link to their blog.
  • Answer the questions of the one who nominated you.
  • Nominated 7-10 bloggers.
  • Ask them 7 questions.

The Questions:

01. Would you continue to watch anime even when you’re old?

Hmm… depending on how old I will be lol. I mean, I might stop watching anime when I’m above 50 years old. Maybe. Because at that time, I might be interested in something else?? (and have responsibilities). Okay no, to be honest, I can’t imagine myself not watching anime. So I think instead of stopping watching anime altogether, I might just change the genre that I prefer. Right now, I actually like a more grounded to real life, slice-of life, drama kind of anime so maybe when I’m older, I might prefer something else entirely.

I had frequent breaks from anime (you can probably tell when based to the frequency of my blog posts), not because I want to but because there was no internet connection. Even so, whenever I come back to anime, I fall in love with anime even more than before. I see them in a new light, brighter than before. So I think in the future, I might actually love anime more than I currently am :D.

02. If you have a chance to live in an anime world, what world would that be?

Any fantasy setting anime would be nice. As long as I don’t have to become a warrior on the front line. I’d find work that are safe, that has nothing to do with killing monsters or enemies. Yep, living in a fantasy setting anime world is cool… but I think what’s more interesting is living in any Shoujo anime setting. Seriously, I don’t have to be the main character, I just have to be one of the sidelines, helping the main characters to find love. The main reason I choose this is because of how peaceful the world of Shoujo is, especially when I’m not the main character. Everyone’s nice and the world always seems to be sparkling! I don’t know, I just think it’s fun to live there. As much as I love the adventure in a fantasy setting anime, I just think that shoujo anime is the more ideal place to live.

03. I follow a lot of anitubers on youtube. From anime reviews to satire analysis, I enjoy watching them. How about you? Who are you subscribe to?

The first Anituber that I was exposed to was Glass Reflection and The Black Anime Guy (now The Black Critic Guy). I still enjoy watching Glass Reflection. I usually watch him for anime recommendations. Black Critic Guy, not so much because he is pretty much directionless now, I don’t really know what he’s doing. I do follow Gigguk and I think he’s the best Anime Youtube entertainer by far. I follow The Anime Man but only watch his videos when he plays any kind of games with his friends. Digibro… I’m not really a fan of his not because of his opinions, but because of the way he conveys them. He just sounds really cocky. Right now, I think my favourite is Under The Scope. He doesn’t do much critic, rather he does analysis of anime he loves in an appreciative manner. His videos make me appreciate anime way more than I previously did. My favourite video of his is What Makes Kyoto Animation Works. Just brilliant.

But that’s not the best part of anime Youtube. I think the best part of anime Youtube is… the English covers of anime songs. I talked about my amazement towards anime English covers a few years back. Until now, I still think they’re amazing and I listen to the songs everyday. I especially like it if the lyrics rhyme… It feels so good… Let me link to you some of my favourites.

04. Are there any comics/movies/tv series/manga/light novels/visual novels/games that you want to be adapted into an anime? If so, how many episodes? Seasons?

Well, Kaguya-sama Love is War is getting an adaptation next year. The indie game To The Moon is also confirmed to have an anime adaptation. I guess right now, I really like Portal, a video game that was released around 10 years ago. There is SO MUCH story material that can be adapted into narrative instead of gameplay. It’d be cool if somebody adapt that game into an anime, maybe 24 episodes, exploring in greater detail of the history of Aperture Science and its connection with Black Mesa. Wow, I think I figured another game to be adapted. Half-Life. Also 24 episodes.

Basically, I want 24 episodes of Portal, and 24 episodes of Half-Life and then make both of them crossover in a finale movie. Ohh… that’s a dream come true.

05. Do you consider Avatar – The Last Airbender, Avatar – The Legend of Korra, RWBY, and even, Castlevania as animes?

Yes, I consider all that as anime because it has really similar style with anime. I haven’t watched any of those though, but I really want to watch RWBY. Seriously I should just watch it.

06. For you, who is the BEST supporting character in an anime?

I didn’t really pay attention to supporting characters much. Or rather, I forgot about them. My problem is that I can’t remember much about shows that I watched… So I checked my list of anime that I’ve watched and then suddenly, it dawned on me. Hak. Yes, Son Hak from Yona of the Dawn. I mean come on, who DOESN’T love Hak?!

Hak 2
The perfect representation of Hak

07. If you have been give a chance to change the ending of an anime, what anime would that be? Why did you choose it? How will you change it?

As of now, I would change the ending of ‘Just Because’. I just want the main guy to end up with the girl that I want. Come to think of it, let’s just change EVERY SHIP THAT’S WRECKED. Yeah let’s do that instead. Let ME have the power to choose who ends up with who in the world of fiction. I think I just found a new superpower that I’d like to possess.

Alright, now’s my turn to nominate… This is always the hardest part for me because I don’t really know many other bloggers and I especially don’t know who hasn’t done this already. I’ll just nominate 4 that I know for now. (Searched their blogs from my following list, scrolled down their entire entries of posts like the stalker than I am to make sure they haven’t done this)

  1. tetrax4berium from _LifeisAniMovie_
  2. Ty from Watashi wa bucho
  3. Kori from Aniremeniscing
  4. Amirul from Amirul’s Blog

My Questions:

  1. Do you have any real life friend anime fan?
  2. Do you think it’s fun to have many real life friend anime fan?
  3. have you ever experienced overpowering the opposing team or player when playing sports? (I have and it feels great. Yes I just want everyone to know this)
  4. How many languages do you speak?
  5. Have you ever went karaoke? Did you like it, why or why not?
  6. Do you like roller coasters?
  7. Do you listen to music while writing blog posts? If so, what kind of music?

I hope those who have been nominated don’t mind me nominating you guys. It’s okay if you don’t want to do it, I’m not forcing. But I think it’d be cool if you do haha.

Again, thank you Sirius for nominating me! That’s it from me. See you next time ~

      • Yes do check them. Sometimes I even prefer the English covers more than the original lol. May I ask, who are some of the anitubers that you enjoy watching?

      • I also watch Gigguk, Glass reflection, and The anime man. I also like Under the scope. But my favorites would be Hiding in public, Lowart, Nuxtaku, and Chibireviews. I also do watch Mother’s basement and Digibro, but I do have alot of opposite opinions on their vidz. Recently, I discovered new anitubers that are really good like Manimematt, Mudantv, krispnatz, kamimashita and subtitled anime.

      • Oh yeah Mother’s Basement and Manimematt. It’s been a while since I last watched them. I’ve heard some of the others that you mentioned but never watched them. Maybe I should check them out.
